I'm a seasoned bass guitar player, stepping in to hold down the low end for a range of different bands, either as a dep or on individual projects.
I regularly play all across Scotland, and I've played with some of the best function bands in Scotland. I may be biased. But the do literally pay me.
Need vocals too? I can cover lead or backing vocals as needed.
If you're going to hire me, you'll want to know what you're gonna get. Well, besides me.
My go-to bass is a classic wine coloured Longhorn '98 Jazz 4 string. She's got a couple of tricks up her sleeve with a Hipshot drop-D tuner and active electronics. Whatever your style, we'll fit right in.
Fancy a bit of Pino in your party, or a bit of Jaco in your Jam? We can lose the frets. She sings like a bird, with all the 'mwaaaah' you can ask for.
She's not a Tokai. But she's near enough to my old partner in crime that the name fits.
I first fell in love with Ashdown when they first arrived in the late 90s. I still love them now. Gorgeous sound that pairs beautifully with my basses.
I play through a 500W EVO III head with 1x15 and 4x8 cabs. Small but mighty.
Most gigs I do, the sound tech (and my back) prefer a silent stage. So I bring the Helix Stomp with me. It can make The Jazz sing like a nightingale or snarl like a wolf.
I tend to go easy on the effects and concentrate on tone, but if you want to go 'there' it'll take us.
